A group of anything has always fascinated me. How in a group do you pick out one from another? Using all the components of color, Intensity, Value and Temperature, will help you sort it out. Here we have Fuji, Granny Smith, and Red Delicious apples. They each have their own characteristics: solid, spotted, or striped. Their skin is shiny. Our imaginations can feel the crunch and the sweet/sour taste of the first bite. The bowl has a wonderful pattern of lights and darks but is very neutral in color as is the background. This allows the apples to be the center of attention in this painting. Enjoy!
