This pretty little teapot belongs to a friend of mine. It caught my eye while she and I were painting one day. It was picking up the light of the studio from all directions and reflecting everything around it. As I moved it from one location to another, it fascinated me to watch the lights and reflections move into new shapes and locations. So many lights and items caused a sensory overload. It was like a mirror.
Once I moved the teapot into a controlled space it was easier to see. A single light source and fewer items reflected gave this pot a life of its own. Using a limited palette, our goal is to create a shiny surface. The secret? CONTRAST! Enjoy!

Cheri uses a limited number of colors and a combination of Oils and Alkyds that results in most colors drying overnight. However, you may use any medium you choose.
